Madeleine at the Movies (matm.com.au) does not collect any personal information directly. We do not run a mailing list, require registration, or ask you to submit any personal details. This site exists to share film reviews and episode audio — nothing more.
With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors find and use the site — which episodes are popular, where traffic comes from, and how people navigate between pages. This data is collected anonymously and aggregated; we cannot identify individual visitors. Google's data practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Also with your permission, we use Microsoft Clarity, a behavioural analytics tool that generates heatmaps and session recordings to help us understand how the site is being used. Clarity may record mouse movements, clicks, and scrolling behaviour, but does not capture passwords or payment information. Microsoft's data practices are governed by the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. The first time you visit, a small panel asks which kinds you allow, and nothing optional runs until you choose. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings, at the foot of every page. We ask again after 12 months, or sooner if we add a new tool.

The posters and film details on the Film Index come from The Movie Database (TMDB). Your browser loads the poster images directly from TMDB’s servers, so TMDB receives your IP address and browser details, as any website does when it serves an image. If you submit a message via our feedback form, we will collect your name and email address solely for the purpose of responding to your enquiry. This information is not shared with third parties, added to any mailing list, or used for any purpose beyond addressing your message.
From time to time, Madeleine at the Movies runs listener competitions. Entry may require you to provide your name, email address, and postal address. This information is collected only for the purposes of administering the competition and contacting winners, and is not retained beyond the conclusion of each competition.
This site links to external services including Golden Days Radio, streaming platforms, and film databases. We have no control over the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies independently.
